I am compelled to say something about this whole Manny Pacquiao vs LGBT situation. So here goes.
Let's quickly face facts. Please bear with me.
The man is a legend. He has inspired millions through his battles, both through victory and defeat. Only God knows how much he has given back to the community, emotionally, spiritually and financially.
We know all these facts very well. We also know that he isn't the brightest man on earth. And that his speech and diction are grade A meme machines. At the end of the day, despite the best of intentions, he had no idea what he was saying and hurt people. A lot of people.
Sometimes legends make huge, earth-shattering mistakes (MJ, Kobe), but I strongly believe he shouldn't be dismantled after everything he's done for so many people. Years of sacrificing his body for the greater good of Filipinos all around the world should not equate to his downfall by a single mistake. The man apologized. Let us try to forgive him.

DeleteOne thing is for sure. Basis of truth is God's word. Though Not all believe in the Bible. There are so many religion here on earth. Pacquiao is a Christian. He gave his opinion base on what christianity says about same sex marriage. We need to accept the reality that in the eyes of God, He did not created a third sex. Only men(Adam) and woman (eve). When they were created, both of them are naked. To show us that these two are genuine. Their organs are true. Not fake. Let us accept the reality that God created man and woman.

Pacman Apologized for the reason that he hurt feelings but he still stands on his right of belief and nothing could change a self strong perspective which his proof of being a legend. No matter he wins or loss in his fights he accepts defeat in a way of not sharing on media his body and emotional pain yet others don't understand his sacrifices for his family and country, and above all his belief on the Biblical truth. Please lets respect him as we respect the holiness of the Bible content.

Manny may not be intellectually and historically aware and knowledgeable with what he is saying but what he said is true and deep. The SANCTITY and PURITY of marriage is base on the HOLINESS OF GOD who instituted marriage for one-man and one-woman. Man cannot extract it from somewhere else (i.e. government constitutions and other human entities)
ReplyDeleteyou took the words out of my mouth, I think GAB wanted to sound clever here, I believe his DAD is catholic if not christian, why not ask his Dad about what his Dad think about same-sex marriage based on the Holy Bible, after all Pacquiao just quoted what the Bible said, which are the words of God.
